The Salvation Army is excited to be a part of bringing additional hope and joy to over 1500 families in the Portland Metro/Clackamas area over the 2024 Christmas season. Thousands of families are experiencing additional challenges this year and are facing hard choices around which bills to pay first. You can be a part of our efforts to inject hope by assisting at The Salvation Army Toy and Joy shop! We are accepting applications for volunteers to assist in the following areas:

· Toy sorting

· Toy shopping and packing

· Making phone calls to deserving families

· Distributions (of food support and toys)

· Light cleaning duties

*Volunteers should be able to lift up to 40lbs and have no difficulties with bending, kneeling, squatting and standing for extended periods of time. We look forward to having you join us in bringing joy this Christmas season.
