Craft/Activity Station Host @ Trunk - O - Treat
Concord Corps

This will be our 5th annual Trunk - O - Treat at the Concord Salvation Army. A family-friendly outreach event that provides a safe space for kids of all ages to seek out multiple sources of store-bought and commercially packaged candy or non-edible treats, all in one safe parking lot space. We strongly encourage you to dress up as long as it is not scary or gory and is family-friendly.

Last year, we saw 600 individuals seeking out their Halloween treats. This year, we fully expect that number to be greater. Although not all will do the crafts due to age/ability.

This time slot is for those who do not have a car to decorate but still want to participate. We need volunteers to host a craft/activity. Activity stations will be set up under a canopy as the weather permits. Tables and chairs will be provided. Crafts/Activities and any handouts will need to be approved prior to the day of. Decorating your space is welcome. Please, no edible crafts or activities. All supplies are your responsibility. Need ideas, please reach out.

We will also have carnival games, a scavenger hunt, and, weather permitting, a bounce house. There is also an opportunity to host a trunk (a decorated vehicle) and hand out candy. If this is more your interest, please use the other volunteer listing or email Kahlia or Kris directly.

The safety of everyone is our highest priority. We ask that you commit to the full-time slot to ensure the safe exit of vehicles once children are no longer in the area. No vehicle entry will be permitted after 12:45 PM, and no exit prior to 5 PM. Emergencies, weather, and dwindling attendance will be taken into consideration, and a safe exit route will be provided if needed.

Any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Kahlia or Kris at [email protected] or [email protected]
