Volunteers will be:
-helping to set up and clean up on the deck
-Ensure that displays are not mistreated
-Directing guests and answering general questions about the event
-Maintaining a smooth, organized flow throughout a high-volume crowd
-Communicate with fellow volunteers and staff to keep things running seamlessly
We are looking for volunteers who:
-have outgoing personalities — you genuinely enjoy greeting and engaging with people
- have the ability to stay calm, focused, and composed under high-volume, fast-paced conditions
-you have strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
- you are comfortable standing and remaining active for the full 3-hour shift
-you are punctual and reliable — please arrive a few minutes early to check in and get oriented
-having prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or events is a plus but not required
Attire: Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and we recommend you dress in layers.
Parking:
Parking is available on-site at the Midway for a fee. Metered street parking is also available in the surrounding area. Please plan your arrival accordingly. Parking costs are not reimbursed or included with your volunteer shift.
At arrival, please check in with Lariza Peterson at the Donut Day Check in next to the Midway general ticket booth and let her know you are there to volunteer.
