The Salvation Army of Golden is looking for volunteers with connections in business and non-profit community and knowledge of community resources to serve on the Unit’s Committee. Committee members advise on a wide spectrum of issues including funding, services provided by local Salvation Army, community involvement, partnerships with other organizations, fundraising, organizing annual Red Kettle campaign. Committee meets quarterly. Time commitment may increase from September to January as committee members help with Red Kettle campaign: ring bells at the store fronts in Golden, count money donations from the red kettles, drive to pick up kettle donations from various store locations. Volunteers are invited to attend the Committee meetings to visit and observe prior to making commitment to serve. We are also looking for volunteers that may want to help out in sorting donations, putting together hygiene kits, bell ring, attend local community meetings with the Unit, and more.
