Do you love bringing smiles to people’s faces? We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Volunteer Mascot to help spread joy and excitement at upcoming community events!

As our mascot, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere — greeting guests, posing for photos, and helping represent The Salvation Army’s mission in a memorable way.

What You’ll Do:

• Wear the official "Shieldy" mascot costume during events

• Engage with families, kids, and guests in a friendly, approachable manner

• Pose for photos and help boost event spirit

• Work alongside event staff and volunteers to create a positive experience

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with all ages

• Able to move easily in our mascot costume and work in short time shifts

• Reliable and punctual — a true team player!

When & Where:

Events vary throughout the season (holiday celebrations, volunteer drives, and community gatherings) across the Greater Los Angeles area.

As of now, we are looking for volunteer mascots for the events below:

• 11/19 5pm-8pm - Christmas Kettle Kickoff (Original Farmers Market - Los Angeles)

• 12/8 3pm-7pm - LA Rams Shopping Spree (West Hills)
