People puchase gifts for Angels and deliver them to The Salvation Army. Those gifts do go to the children listed on the Angel Tags. In addition there is a supply of extra toys, clothing, books and stocking stuffer size items. These items are used as forgotten Angel items or fillers.
Angel Tree Gift Sorting/Orginiziners will group all gift bags into family groups and ensure that each child has at least 2 toys and clothing. In addition if one child in the family has more than 2 toys, we add to the ohter siblings gift bags so all the children receive the same amount of gifts.
2hour shifts 10 people per shift from 12/1-12/15 and 4 hour shifts of 15 people for distribution day 12/17-12/18.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers.
Volunteers should be able to lift at least 20lbs.
