Date & Shifts: Saturday, December 13th

• Shift 1: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

• Shift 2: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

You may select one shift or participate for the full event.

Volunteers Needed:140 (70 per shift)

About the Role

Be part of the joy this Christmas season as a Toy Shopping Guideduring our Toy Distribution event! In this role, you will work directly with parents and guardians as they select gifts for their children. You’ll help guide up to 650 familiesthrough their experience, assisting them in navigating the toy area, choosing age-appropriate items, and ensuring the process is smooth, organized, and cheerful.

This is one of our most rewarding volunteer opportunities, offering meaningful interaction with families while helping make their holiday extra special.

Note: This role involves working with adults/parents only; children will not be present at the event.

Volunteer Duties

• Greet and accompany parents or guardians through the toy area

• Assist families in selecting age-appropriate gifts for their children

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive environment

• Help restock or organize toy tables as needed

• Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to keep the flow of families running smoothly

• Share in the joy and spirit of giving throughout the day

• Assist families with carrying selected toy items and transporting them to vehicles, as needed

What to Bring & Working Conditions

• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes

• Water bottle to stay hydrated

• Friendly attitude, holiday spirit, and willingness to help

• May involve standing, light lifting (up to 25 lbs), and occasional indoor/outdoor tasks in a warehouse setting

How to Participate

• Volunteers 14+ may participate if paired with a parent/guardian for the full shift

• Both parent/guardian and minor volunteer information must be listed in the registration.

• Registration required(no walk-ins – volunteers without prior registration will be turned away)
