Gather your friends, family, supervised children, veterans, military and co-workers for a day of bell ringing and holiday cheer. Whether you can ring the bell for a full shift or just a couple of hours, your time makes a huge difference! Every bell you ring helps raise critical funds that support The Salvation Army’s programs and services year-round.
Make it your own!
Dress up, carol, dance and/or turn it into a friendly competition and put on a show—be the heart of hope this holiday season!
We only ask that it stays family-friendly and respectful — after all, we’re celebrating the season together as a Christian organization.
Introducing something new this year and your new instructions:
We’re always looking for ways to make things smoother and more meaningful for our amazing volunteers, groups, drivers, and store partners—and strengthen the relationships that make our mission shine. We’ve made ringing the bell easier and more flexible for those who cannot commit to a full day. Inspired by your feedback and our commitment to promoting volunteerism, the Colorado Springs Corps has strategically selected 8 convenient Walmart locations for kettle pick-up and drop-off—perfect for bell ringers who want to help but can’t commit to a full shift. This new setup gives these volunteers the flexibility to jump in to do a 2 hour shift even on short notice while shifts are still open, ring the bell, spread holiday cheer, and make a real difference—no matter how much time you can give! This change creates smoother transitions for everyone which makes volunteering easier for all, more fun, and more impactful than ever. We’re so grateful for every one of our volunteers, the heart of this mission—whose dedication brings hope and joy to those who we serve every day.

Tips to Follow for A Successful Kettle Shift For ALL:
1.) One adult per shift is fine, but two or more is more fun. Kids can join too!
2.) Dress warmly, friendly smiles are warmer than shivers.
3.) Arrive 10 minutes early; a driver will bring your kettle and equipment.
4.) Each shift is relieved by the next person on the sign-up sheet.
5.) At the end of your shift, a Salvation Army driver will collect the kettle and equipment.
6.) This fundraiser is open from November 17–December 24 (excluding all Sundays and Thanksgiving). Please be sure to write your times down correctly to not miss your scheduled commitment.
