We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented volunteers to assist with sorting, inspecting, and organizing donated toys for our annual Christmas toy drive. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring toys reach children safely and are appropriately matched to age groups.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

• Sort donated toys by age category (infant, toddler, preschool, elementary, teen)

• Categorize toys by type (educational, games, dolls, action figures, sports equipment, etc.)

• Inspect each toy for safety hazards, missing pieces, or damage

• Label boxes clearly with age ranges and toy categories

• Help maintain an organized and efficient workspace

• Work collaboratively with other volunteers as part of a team

• Follow all safety protocols

• Assist with loading/unloading donation boxes

• Help set up and break down the sorting area

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• Minimum age of 18 years

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods

• Capable of lifting boxes up to 25 pounds

• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

• Commitment to the full shift

Skills Developed

Volunteers will gain experience in:
