Join The Salvation Army and Walmart to kick off the Angel Tree program by helping “Stuff the Bus”! Volunteers will encourage shoppers to adopt an Angel Tree tag or purchase new toys and clothing for children in need. With cheerful energy and teamwork, our goal is to fill four buses with gifts that will bless families throughout Solano County this Christmas.
Responsibilities:
Greet Walmart customers with a smile and invite them to support the Angel Tree program.
Explain how to adopt an Angel Tree tag or donate toys and clothing.
Assist in collecting and organizing donated items for loading onto the bus.
Represent The Salvation Army with positivity and enthusiasm.
Optional: Spread holiday cheer by singing, dancing, dressing festively, or serving alongside family and friends!
Qualifications:
Friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with the public.
Cheerful and enthusiastic about supporting families in need.
Able to stand for periods of time and assist with light handling of donations (bring our own folding chair of stool if needed).
Open to families, groups, teens, and adults (volunteers under 13 must be accompanied by an adult).
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
Schedule & Time Commitment:
Saturday, November 8, 2025
Shifts and times available between 10AM-2PM at four Walmart Superstore locations.
Volunteers may choose one shift or spend the day celebrating and serving.
