Position Summary:
The After School Program Driver will play an important role in supporting local youth by providing safe and reliable transportation from area middle schools and high schools to our program location. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with teens and want to make a meaningful impact in their community.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Volunteers are encouraged to stay for the remainder of the After School Program if interested.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport students from designated middle and high schools to the program site.
Adhere to all traffic laws and organizational safety guidelines.
Ensure a positive and respectful environment for teens during transportation.
Communicate with program staff regarding schedules, student pick-ups, and any issues that arise.
Requirements:
Must successfully complete an extensive background check.
Completion of Protect the Mission (PTM) training.
Completion of driver safety training.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Dependable, punctual, and committed to the safety and well-being of students.
Preferred Qualities:
Enjoys working with youth.
Friendly, patient, and encouraging demeanor.
Willingness to assist with program activities after transportation duties (optional).
