Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Salvation Army ~ Monterey Peninsula Corps Community Center.
The Salvation Army has been on the Monterey Peninsula since the 1800’s.
One of the special aspects are the volunteers that work diligently to support the functions of our programs.
Traffic violations / payments in arrears to court / etc. are the nature of court ordered hours we can accept. (Nonviolent, low-level Misdemeanors)
To respect the safety of the community we serve: Hours needed regarding and/or history involving violence of any kind, firearms, drug related charges, outstanding bench warrants, cannot be worked at this site.
We cannot grant requests for hours that are needed "asap" as our application process can take up to two weeks, and a background check must be complete before volunteer work can begin.
Please be willing to indicate:
- Number of hours you are required to complete
- Date those hours need to be completed by
-When are you able to volunteer ? MONDAY - FRIDAY **we are not open evenings or weekends**
A copy of the Court Order is required for accountability purposes. This should be provided at the time the court ordered hours are assigned with the Case Number clearly indicated. If this is not available, we will ask that direct written request be submitted from an Attorney, etc.
Mailing address: 1491 Contra Costa | Seaside, CA 93955
Once the Court Order or request from Attorney is received: An Application Packet/Forms will be provided at that time, and a background check will be required
Please call 831-899-4911 if you have any further questions (Please keep in mind: We cannot deviate from these guidelines)
