The Camp Kroc Junior Leaders program offers teens a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills by shadowing experienced camp counselors. Participants will assist with daily camp activities, gaining hands-on experience in youth mentorship and program facilitation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist camp counselors with organizing and leading activities for younger campers.

• Support the setup and cleanup of camp events and daily routines.

• Engage with campers to foster a positive and inclusive environment.

• Participate in leadership training sessions and team meetings.

• Demonstrate and promote the values of The Salvation Army through actions and interactions.

Qualifications:

• Ages 14–17 years.

• Interest in working with children and developing leadership abilities.

• Ability to commit to the full duration of the camp program.

• Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities under supervision.

• Positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for community service.

Schedule & Time Commitment:

• Dates:June 23rd– Aug 8th, 2025

• Days:Monday–Friday

• Time:8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Orientation:Mandatory Junior Leader training prior for a minimal fee of $25. Training will be held Monday, June 16–18, June 20, 2025.

Additional Information:

• Teens must submit a letter of interest (2 paragraphs minimum).

• A letter of recommendation is required from a trusted source (non-family member).

• Both teen applying and parent/guardian must be present during application process.

• Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program.

• Community service hours can be verified for school or extracurricular requirements.

• This is a volunteer position; no monetary compensation is provided.
