Volunteer Position: BINGO Volunteer

Location: Senior Nutrition Center

Time Commitment: Fridays @ 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Role Summary: The BINGO Volunteer plays a key role in bringing joy, connection, and fun to our senior participants by leading and assisting with BINGO games during our morning Friday program. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with older adults and creating a lively, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and organize BINGO materials before the game starts

• Welcome and assist seniors as they arrive for the game

• Call out BINGO numbers clearly and with enthusiasm

• Ensure fair play and keep track of winners

• Distribute small prizes to winners and encourage positive interaction

• Clean up and store BINGO materials after the session

Qualifications:

• Friendly and patient demeanor

• Comfortable speaking in front of a group

• Dependable and punctual

• Enjoys working with seniors

• No previous experience required—just a willingness to help and have fun!

Working Conditions:

• May be required to sit or stand for extended period of time, up to 2 hours.

• Physical tasks may include lifting up to 8 pounds and bending.

• Please be aware this role requires indoor activity and is working with seniors (55+ years old)

• Appropriate Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes (not sandals, heels, flipflops). Shirts should be short or long-sleeved (no spaghetti straps, strapless, sleeveless, mid-riff showing or tank top types). Shorts/dresses/skirts should be longer in length, appropriate for comfortably bending and reaching items.

Required:

• Age Requirements: 18 or older. You must be confirmed to participate. No walk-ins.

• Sign up to volunteer through this site.

• Connect with volunteer coordinator to discuss interest & next steps in onboarding process.

• Volunteers interested in committing over 40 hours a year must complete a Background Check to serve. No Exceptions.

• ID Required to confirm identification when completing onboarding volunteer paperwork.
