Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to help identify and compile valuable community resources that can support individuals and families in need. This role involves researching, documenting, and maintaining an up-to-date directory of local services, such as food banks, shelters, healthcare providers, employment assistance, and other essential programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify local organizations and services that provide support to the community.
Compile and maintain an organized database of resources.
Reach out to organizations to gather updated information on available programs.
Assist in creating informational materials to share resources with community members.
Collaborate with team members to ensure resources are accessible and relevant.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong research and organizational skills.
Comfortable reaching out to organizations via phone or email.
Ability to summarize and present information clearly.
Passion for community service and helping others.
Basic computer skills (e.g., Google Docs, Excel, or similar tools) are a plus.
