We appreciate any inquiries about volunteer opportunities and have listed some areas below that will give you an idea of what is needed from time to time. We are currently fully staffed.

SOCIAL SERVICES: Sand City Day Center (Mornings) and Seaside (afternoon pantry help)
Part of our community outreach with Social Services Programs is to help provide essential services, including food boxes and meals, for people who seek our help each day.
Currently, our Good Samaritan Center is under renovations and open ½ day: 8:30am-noon.
Pantry / Food Box Distribution and been moved to Seaside location until further notice: 1-4pm
We are seeking energetic volunteers to help in the afternoons: 1-4pm
- Sort/stock dried goods
- Prepare food boxes and "no cook" bags
- Sort and assemble toiletries/bags
Volunteers should be able to lift boxes, bend, and walk safely, and be friendly and assist and accept our guests without discrimination.
This opportunity is suitable for individuals and groups. Shifts are 2-4 hours, Monday - Fri | 1-4pm
Please Note: A background check and fingerprinting may be required for all volunteers as we work closely with vulnerable individuals.
KITCHEN FACILITIES: Another branch of our Community Outreach with The Salvation Army provides hot meals for our unhoused neighbors Monday - Friday.
We need volunteers to assist with meal prep and cleanup duties in our commercial kitchen in Seaside.
Volunteer shifts for meal prep & cleanup tasks are currently available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 pm. Start
Volunteers should be able to lift, bend, and walk safely. Must wear a hairnet and/or hat – aprons recommended. Gloves required.

MAINTENANCE /FACILITIES: For Special Projects: We look for volunteers with handyperson skills to help with beautification projects such as painting, minor repairs, general maintenance, and outdoor grounds work. Moderate lifting, kneeling, walking, and standing may be required.
Suitable for individuals and small groups.
Hours: 2 - 4 hours (or more) on weekdays by arrangement with our Facilities Team
