Volunteers needed to help clients select items from food pantry at The Salvation Army in Santa Clara.
Description: Volunteers will help client’s select food from food pantry and place in their baskets in the quantities instructed. Clients should not touch or handle food items, until you place it in their hands or cart

Parking:
Drive down long driveway until you reach parking lot. Park, and walk towards the first building on your left (food pantry).
Every Thursday, 1pm-3pm, but, for first volunteer time you must arrive at 12:30pm for orientation & training. You must be confirmed to participate, no walk-ins.
Appropriate Attire: Mandatory closed-toe shoes, no sandals, flipflops, heels or open-toe shoes allowed. Shirts should be short or long sleeve shirts, (not spaghetti straps, mid-riff showing, sleeveless, tank top type shirts). Shorts/skirts/dresses must be longer in length for bending, reaching and lifting.
1pm-3pm Help with Client Choice Food Selection, (arrive at 12:30pm for orientation & training on your first Thursday, subsequent Thursdays you can arrive at 1pm)
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to volunteer w/o parent/adult supervision (or 12-13 w/adult volunteer & supervision).

Background Check after 20 hours
**court mandated volunteers are required to report status before they are approved to volunteer.
