Position: Thanksgiving Community Meal Volunteer

Location: 3090 Homestead Road, Santa Clara

Date: November 27th

Event Description: As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission of doing the most good and helping with serving our community. Volunteers are crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, helping to distribute food and maintain an organized and welcoming environment for our clients.

The Thanksgiving Community Meal is a free meal to anyone in need. Community members will be seated and served a meal to be enjoyed on campus with fellow community members. Volunteers will also help run small rounds of BINGO where community members can win prizes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Host/Hostess:These volunteer will seat incoming community members and keep track of how many members have been seated.

2. Server:These volunteers will be assigned table(s) and brings plates of food from the kitchen to the community member (each person will be served 1 meal).

3. Busser:These volunteers will help clean up the table after a community member is finished eating and reset the table for a new community member to be seated.

4. Clean-up Crew:The volunteers will help with after the event cleaning up the campus.

Working Conditions:

May be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Appropriate Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes (not sandals, heels, flipflops). Shirts should be short or long-sleeved (no spaghetti straps, strapless, sleeveless, mid-riff showing or halter top types). Shorts/dresses/skirts should be longer in length, appropriate for comfortably bending and reaching items.

Required:

· Age Requirements: 14 or older. You must be confirmed to participate. No walk-ins.

* Minors must be supervised by an adult

· All volunteers must register and be cleared through NSOPW/Megans Law and The Salvation Army Territorial Registry before 11/24 (event date 11/27th)
