Volunteer Opportunity:Check-In Helper

Location:Senior Center – 359 N 4th Street, San Jose, CA 95112

Date:Wednesday, November 26th, 2025

Time:10:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Role Overview:As a Check-In Helper, you’ll greet participants, assist with registration, and ensure a smooth and welcoming check-in process. This role is great for volunteers who enjoy interacting with people and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival

• Assist with check-in by verifying IDs and providing event information

• Answer guest questions and direct them as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming check-in area

• Support event staff with any additional registration needs

Qualifications:

• Friendly, approachable, and detail-oriented

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable using basic computer or tablet systems

• Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus

• Team-oriented and calm under pressure

Working Conditions:

• May involve standing or sitting for extended periods

How to Participate:

• Registration is required; walk-ins will not be accepted

• If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must volunteer alongside you for the entire duration of the shift.
