Volunteer Opportunity:Line Monitor & MA Trade (Seating Assistant)

Location:Senior Center – 359 N 4th Street, San Jose, CA 95112

Time:10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Role Overview:Join our Thanksgiving volunteer team and help create a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests. As part of our guest services team, you’ll assist with managing lines, guiding guests to their seats, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable and cared for throughout the event. This role is ideal for friendly, organized individuals who enjoy engaging with people and supporting large community gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist guests as they arrive and wait for services or meals

• Monitor lines and maintain an orderly, respectful environment

• Direct guests to their designated seating areas

• Provide information and answer questions about the event

• Support with special seating arrangements when needed

• Help manage guest flow and crowd control to ensure safety and efficiency

• Communicate any issues or concerns to event staff

• Collaborate with fellow volunteers and team members to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

• Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Organized and dependable with a positive attitude

• Team-oriented and comfortable working in busy environments
