Please read the following:

  • Volunteers for this position must be at least 16 years of age or older. (Younger teens may be considered.) Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Volunteers are carefully paired with opportunities that align with their skills and experience, and comprehensive on-site training is offered to ensure their preparedness.

  • All Salvation Army volunteers may undergo a background check upon staff request or after completing eight hours of service.

Project Volunteer ResponsibilitiesProject volunteers at The Salvation Army of Nampa play a vital role in supporting various ongoing and seasonal projects. Responsibilities can vary widely based on current needs and may include:

1. Painting:Assist with painting tasks, such as refreshing walls, painting lines in parking lots, or other related projects.

2. Backpack Preparation:Help prepare backpacks with school supplies, ensuring each backpack is packed according to specific guidelines.

3. Kettle Prep:Assist in the preparation and organization of materials for the Red Kettle Campaign, including assembling and distributing kettle stands.

4. General Support:Provide general support for various projects, which may involve organizing supplies, setting up events, or any other tasks as needed.

5. Maintaining Cleanliness:Help maintain a clean and organized work area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and tools.
