Volunteers for this position must be at least 16 years of age or older. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers are carefully paired with opportunities that align with their skills and experience, and comprehensive on-site training is offered to ensure their preparedness.
All Salvation Army volunteers may undergo a background check upon staff request or after completing eight hours of service.
School's Out Club Bus Greeter ResponsibilitiesSchool's Out Club bus greeters play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe transition of children arriving at The Salvation Army of Nampa's School's Out Club. Responsibilities include:
1. Waiting for Buses:Arrive at the designated bus stop area in the afternoons to greet incoming school buses.
2. Checking Children In:Greet children as they arrive, check them in, and ensure they enter the building safely.
3. Maintaining Order:Help maintain an orderly and welcoming environment as children transition from the bus to the building.
4. Assisting with Inquiries:Answer any basic inquiries from parents or guardians regarding the check-in process or School's Out Club program.
5. Ensuring Safety:Monitor the arrival area to ensure the safety and well-being of all children during the check-in process.
