The Eastside Youth Department is looking for volunteers to help teach and facilitate day camp activities.
We are looking for a minimum of a week commitment.
Must be at least 15 years old.
Volunteers can attend field trips free of charge for the weeks that they volunteer.
Mandetory volunteer training will be on Saturday June 8th from 10am - 3pm. Lunch will be provided. If you are not able to make this date, please schedule a make up training with us.
President's Volunteer Service Award is eligible with our program.
Below are the details for each week and theme.
Week 1: 6/24-28 Space Week
Let’s blast off on a space adventure that allows campers to share questions and discoveries and go on a field trip to the Pacific Science Center.
Week 2: 7/1-5 STEM Week
Experience STEM camp to the fullest by engaging in building, designing, learning, creating, and thinking.
Week 3: 7/8-12 Animals Week
Learn about different animals & how each one is unique in God’s eyes! This week includes a field trip to the Woodland Park Zoo.
Week 4: 7/15-19 Christmas Week
Christmas in July! A wonderful time of the year to enjoy fun & festivities with Christmas carols, a mid week Winter Carnival & a jolly surprise visit.
Week 5: 7/22-26 Minions Week
The kids will have fun creating mayhem during this double fieldtrip week to the Movie Theaters and Chuck E Cheese. Nothing despicable about it!
Week 6: 7/29-8/2 Mario Week
Take a trip with Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach as they adventure through races, challenges, & pizza making to name a few. They will end the week with a field trip to the Family Fun Center.
Week 7: 8/5-9 Candyland Week
Just as simple as a racing board game, the kids will simply have fun with piñata making, a scavenger hunt, & more. They will also end the week with a field trip to the mall.
Week 8: 8/12-16 Music Week
Children will discover the world of music in all its forms & end the week with a field trip to the Mo POP museum.
Week 9: 8/19-23 Beach Week
All things summer, best describes this week & we are thrilled to end the week with a field trip to Wild Waves Water Park.
Week 10: 8/26-30 VBS Week
Join us for Vacation Bible School & learn about God. We will be decorating the facility with a VBS theme.
