For the first time in three years we are able to serve a congregational Thanksgiving meal to the Residents of the Bell Shelter. There will several shifts and roles you can sign up for; set up, meal service and clean up. You may sign up for one or multiple shifts. Set up will be from 9am-11am and consist of setting the tables with tablecloths, placemats, cutlery, and other decorations. Meal service will be from 11am - 2pm and will cover three separate meal services to three groups of residents. Each volunteer will be responsible for hosting 1-2 tables (4 residents per table) and will be serving residents their drinks, meals and dessert, in addition volunteers will need to clear the tables they are hosting and re-set the table settings in between meal groups. Clean up will be from 2-3pm, and volunteers will be gathering all trash, breaking down chairs and tables, and cleaning up the area. There are no vaccine requirements for volunteers but we will abide by all COVID-19 guidelines. Because the meal will be served outside masks are recommended but not required.
