"Distribution" is the time when families come to pick up the items that have been donated on their behalf. Our three days for family distribution are fast-paced, and extremely rewarding.
There are three main responsibilities that volunteers take on are:
- Runners
- Loaders
- Traffic Controllers
Runners fetch the designated items from the warehouse, transporting them up front where
Loaders place the items directly into families vehicles.
The Traffic Controllers help guide the vehicles in and out of the fairpark, to our designated building - the "Market Building".
Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather, including closed-toed shoes. Reminder, those needed for Traffic Control will be outside in the elements.
These days can be really fun to do as a family, but please, no children under 14
IF SIGNING UP A GROUP, please provide an individual who is the main contact - and in the free text box give an indication of the size of your group. If the group is larger than 10 people please contact [email protected] to make sure we can accomodate you that day.
If these time slots don't work for you, please email me at [email protected] to discuss how we can find the right slot for you or your group.
Please note - the number of "spots" does not equate to the specific number of individuals we can take, each spot may be either an individual or group
