The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children and seniors each year. Once approved, participants gift-lists are shared with donors in the local community who purchase the gifts of new clothing and toys. The Salvation Army organizes the sorting and distribution of the gifts, from the donors - to the families.

Volunteers are required to help us sort and pack ‘Angel Tree’ gifts (toys, clothes, bikes etc.) at our Christmas Warehouse at the Utah State Fairpark. Attention to detail is needed to make sure that each child gets correctly sized clothes, and gifts according to their needs. Salvation Army staff will be present to help train and guide you in the process.

*Please do not bring children under 14 years old.* You do not need to stay for the full length of the shift period, but please be there at the start.

Dec 1st update: We are about at capacity for Angel Tree sorting volunteers - we are still looking for people to be present on Distribution Days, when the families pick up their gifts (Dec 17th, 19th, 20th in particular). See the "2022 Angel Tree Distribution volunteer" listing.

If there is not a shift remaining that matches your availability, we encourage you to consider Bellringing instead. This is a fun family activity, and if you are a larger party that could take turns ringing for a longer shift period, this would be most helpful to us!
