The Salvation Army Phoenix Citadel

We're sorry, but this opportunity is in the past and online registration is closed for this opportunity. You may select a different opportunity, or you may contact the volunteer coordinator to see if any other opportunities are available in your area.

When the National Weather Service issues an Excessive Heat Warning we activate our Hydration Station. Volunteers hand out water and other supplies to any individual seeking hydration and a respite from the heat. They will also monitor and visit with people who use our cooling center.

The Station is open from 11am to 5pm. We schedule shifts from 11am - 2pm, and 2pm - 5pm.

We give out cold water, snacks and heat relief kits. We also offer a cooling station that offers an air-conditioned space to rest. Volunteers may also choose to deliver water to individuals in nearby parks and other parts of the downtown area.

If you are interested please email us so we can set up a time for you.
