Through partnership with the City of Aurora, The Salvation Army is running a temporary Safe Outdoor Space (S.O.S) for individuals and couples experiencing homelessness. This is a 27-tent camp located at The Salvation Army’s Warehouse on Peoria. The site operates 24 hours a day, provides 3 meals a day, comprehensive case management services, transportation, showers, and community partners hosted on site.

We are looking for volunteers to help serve Christmas Eve meals to the residents at this outdoor shelter. Volunteers should dress warm as the operations are 100% outdoors.

Volunteers must be age 18+
