Crossroads has converted from an overnight Men’s shelter to a 24-hour Men’s shelter during the COVID-19 pandemic in which we serve up to 250 men each day and night. At Crossroads we not only offer men a safe place to sleep, but we welcome them back into the community through our on-site case management staff.
We’re in need of Volunteers on Thanksgiving Day to serve the residents at Crossroads. Providing a hot turkey entre to the residents of Crossroads not only helps fill their bellies but brings the spirit of Thanksgiving to the shelter.
Volunteers should arrive at 3:00pm and will conclude around 4:45pm. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
***On Aug. 2, 2021 Denver Mayor Michael Hancock announced that all city employees, as well as private-sector workers in certain "high-risk" settings, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Sept. 30. After Sept. 30, unvaccinated individuals will not be permitted to work onsite or in the field. This mandate includes volunteers acting on behalf of The Salvation Army within the city and county of Denver. ***
