For over 60 years, The Salvation Army has delivered Christmas meals to around 4000 homebound seniors and disabled adults.
Because of COVID, the elderly and housebound adults in our community have been impacted more than most as they experience even more isolation than usual. The special touch of a fresh holiday meal and a warm greeting from our volunteers will be extra special this Christmas!
COVID-19 Measures:
You may be required to wear a mask or have your temperature taken in some facilities before entering.
(Full details are in the Volunteer Packet linked in the registration confirmation email.)
Notes for delivery shifts:
20 meal routes (1 fresh food box, 1 dry )
40 meal routes - less stops but more deliveries at those stops (4 food boxes)
(NOTE: Drivers - please only reserve ONE SPOT PER VEHICLE.
If reserving a spot for a 40 Meal Route Shift, please ensure you have space for 4 food boxes. Thank you!)
Thank you for sharing your Christmas Day with us! We cannot do this without you and we appreciate your generosity of time.
