The proceeds of items sold at our Family Thrift Stores are used to support the services which The Salvation Army provides in the Anchorage area including alcohol and drug rehabilitation, youth ministries and senior services. The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help sort, tag, and stock donated items at the Northern Lights Store. Help is needed Monday through Saturday; shifts are between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and background check prior to volunteering.
