Volunteers will pack food boxes to be distributed. Food and Supply Kits include donated items like non-perishable food, baby and elder care supplies, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and paper goods. Food bags are being prepared inside our facility by staff and volunteers, then given to the public outside of the building to limit person-to-person contact. Our distribution warehouse uses volunteer support to prepare shipments of goods to our 47 pantries. Volunteers who may be immunocompromised or in an at-risk age category are asked not to volunteer at this time. All volunteers are reminded to regularly wash their hands, use hand sanitizer, maintain social distancing guidelines and to stay home if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to the virus. We are taking precautions to keep the work area as safe as possible, disinfecting surfaces, changing operations to limit contact, and providing staff and volunteers with gloves and other tools.
