Reports to: Heather Wiley Location: The Salvation Army of Tacoma Food Bank 1501 6th Ave., Tacoma, WA 98405 Responsibilities and Duties • Sorting and preparing bulk foods and produce in preparation for distribution to clients • Mopping floors, cleaning shelves, cleaning refrigeration and freezer units • Stocking shelves • Personally assist clients as they shop • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Complete all aspects of the volunteer application before starting service, including clearance of background check • Must be 16 years of age or older • Be able to lift at least 10 pounds to waist level • Be courteous and respectful to clients, staff, volunteers and other visitors to our campus • Excellent de-escalation skills • Follow policies and procedures as outlined by The Salvation Army Tacoma Corps Volunteer Handbook

Good Fit For: Adults, Teens, Seniors

Restrictions: Age requirement: 16 years or older Must be able to stand and walk for at least 3 hours on a concrete floor. The ability to lift 30 pounds is helpful but not required.
